Sitka, Kentucky (September 9, 2015) 201 Nation we would like to thank each and every one of you that came out to support us on Thursday, September 3rd as we kicked off to the 2015 Iron Man Speed Week! The pits were overflowing with some of the regions most talented drivers in all 4 divisions and as always no class failed to give exciting action and close racing for our fans to enjoy.

The kickoff event before the nights action was the make up late model event from the Ray Cook series $4,000 to win feature. The race for the lead was fierce as it was very close racing throughout the laps from 1st to 5th place, but in the end it was Dustin Linville to the cheers from Rooster Nation bringing home the win in his D8 machine. Followed by David Payne, Time Dohm, Shannon Thornsberry and Stephen Breeding rounded out the top 5.

For the nights action the 6th Annual Roger Breeding Memorial and the first night of the Iron Man Speed Week for late models hit the track with a strong showing of 26 cars fighting for their chance at the $3,000 prize. Jackie Boggs started off the night with a fast time of 13.040 for the night. Three heats races were set as the winners from each would claim the top three spots in the nights feature. Jackie Boggs took home heat race one, Heat race two belonged to the D8 of Dustin Linville and Heat race three went to the 6T of Tim Dohm. After a close consi run to finish the field the green was dropped on 30 laps of door to door action with several lead changes, but as the checkers flew it was the 4b of Jackie Boggs making another trip to 201 Victory Lane and taking home the grand prize for the evening.

The Open Wheel Mods also kicked off their first night of the Iron Man Speed Week events. With a full field of 23 Modified on deck the qualifying was led by the p20 machine of Ervin Vance with a fast time laid down of 14.806. The cars were cut into three heats races for the night with heat race one being claimed by the 42 of James Grigsby. Heat race two was won by 25 of Dennis Roberson and Heat race three by the 11 machine of Scott Lemaster. For the feature 18 cars took the green flag, and it was nonstop competition until the checkers eventually flew over the 25 of Dennis Roberson to claim the $1,000 check for the win. Roberson was followed by the 20 of Tommy Bailey, 35 of Jeremy Hayes, the p20 of Ervin Vance, the 11 of Scott Lemaster and rounding out the top 5 was the 3j of Jody Puckett.

The bomber division has been one of the most competitive in the state night in and night out at 201 Speedway and they didn’t fail to impress once again. Taking the heat race win to set the field for the feature was the 4 of Reggie Ritchie. Ritchie went on to have a close battle throughout the feature with the s17 piloted by Jason Hall who was coming off of an impressive two win night in two divisions in our August Bob Miller Memorial and Thunder in the Mountains event night, and with the a85 of points leader Brandon Hutchinson. After an impressive showing from all cars the checkers flew for the s17 of Jason Hall to take home the nights feature win.

In our final division of the night we had our 4cyl stock cars take the field with the 6 of Chandler Belcher taking the heat race win to set on the pole for the nights feature line up. The feature was a close one and a battle that eventually lead to a final lap incident as the checkers flew and the 44 of Derek Osbourne took the win for the final feature of the night.

With this being the final night of racing for our points battle that means coming up soon we will have the reveal of our 2015 Points Champions in all divisions as we look ahead to Friday, October 2nd and the Halloween 50 event!!
